When families are impacted by domestic abuse it can become very difficult to deal with the trauma that comes with this, especially for children. Do you want to be part of their journey, working through these thoughts, feelings and behaviours to gain a positive outcome?

Leeds Women’s Aid (LWA) is the largest women’s charitable organisation in Leeds and provides services for victims of domestic violence and abuse, honour-based violence, forced marriage, trafficking, stalking and harassment and is the lead agency for two consortiums, Leeds Domestic Violence Service and Women’s & Girls Alliance Leeds.

LWA are looking Out of Hours Workers to cover a variety of shifts (days, nights and weekends) in refuges and safe houses in Leeds.  The successful candidate will be expected to help keep the refuge accommodation safe and secure, answer the 24 helpline and respond to individuals and families in our accommodation.

You will need:

• An understanding of Domestic Violence & Abuse and risk and safety issues
• The ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
•  Values consistent with those of LWA and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

The closing date for applications is 9am on Monday 7th April with interviews being held week commencing Tuesday 15th April 2025.
