Fundraising
Our fundraisers make a huge difference. It’s easy to organise your own fundraising on behalf of Leeds Women’s Aid and we’re here every step of the way with ideas and support to make it a success! If you would like to organise your own fundraising event or raise funds on our behalf through an organised activity, please email [email protected]
Over the years, we’ve been amazed by the wonderful fundraising ideas our supporters have come up with from bake sales to sponsored walks, runs and swims to daredevil challenges to taking part in Dry January or Stoptober.
Whether it’s an event or a sponsored challenge, tell us all about it and we’ll help you plan your fundraising and give you lots of support along the way. We can also provide materials such as Leeds Women’s Aid t-shirts, collection boxes and flyers.
A Gift in Your Will
If you are thinking about writing a Will or amending an existing one, including a charity can be a very special way of helping crucial work to continue in the future. Choosing to leave a Legacy or a Gift in your Will provides you with the opportunity to help support victims-survivors of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DV&A). As a charity we rely on additional income to help us continue the work we do. Your legacy could fund ongoing support services for women and girls affected by DV&A, and specific resources for women and children we support in emergency refuge accommodation and through the community specific projects. Annually, we participate in Make a Will Month. Solicitors taking part in the scheme waive their fees for simple Wills in exchange for a donation. If you take part in Make a Will Month there’s no obligation to leave Leeds Women’s Aid a gift in your Will. If you have any questions about leaving a gift in your will or Make a Will month, please contact us at: [email protected]

Payroll giving
Payroll Giving (also known as give as you earn or workplace giving) is a valuable, long term source of revenue, providing regular income to help charities budget and plan ahead more effectively. It’s very simple to sign up for payroll giving.
Payroll Giving is a flexible scheme which allows anyone who pays UK income tax to give regularly and on a tax free basis to the charities and good causes of their choice. Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p.
